Marcarko, owner of the 555 Chabanel West building in Montreal’s Fashion District, commissioned Conceptum to redesign the interior of the 10th floor hallway and washrooms. The client wanted to create a contemporary, unique and vibrant image that would better represent the tenant.
Conceptum developed a concept based on star-lit skies and constellations. As lighting plays an important role in the concept, wide lines of light run the length of the elevator hallway and become glimmering sparkles that lead to other corridors. The walls and ceilings are covered with triangular modules which, by their play of angles, give rhythm to the space and draw connections, like constellations.
The bright orange color is used as an accent color that contrasts with the natural look of the wood, to create synergy.
